2. River rafting
With our energy bars refilled, we take you on an adventurous river rafting expedition! The river rafting at Barapole offers grade 4 rapids to the daring visitors who come to indulge in this thrilling experience.

3. Dubare Elephant Camp
Next on our list of attractions in Coorg is the Dubare Elephant Camp. This is where you can get closer to these humongous and lovely mammals. As an activity, you can go for elephant rides and treks.

We rejuvenate and regain the energy spent in the activities with some power-packed lunch.

4. Chiklihole Dam
With the fun-filled activities and lunch done, the next spot on the list offers pure serenity and is a visual treat. The Chiklihole reservoir takes care of the irrigation needs of the nearby population and also serves as a great picnic spot.

5. Madikeri Fort
With beautiful sights done, we now move to the elegant and historic Madikeri Fort. Built in the 17th century, the fort today houses a museum that holds the stories of the bygone years. The fort premises are quiet and you’ll have a good time walking around there while hearing the stories that surround it.

6. Omkareshwara Temple
Continuing on the path of history, we venture way down in time and mythology and visit the Omkareshwara Temple. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple is a peaceful spot and is known for being a beautiful mix of Gothic and Islamic architecture.

7. Raja’s tomb
Another historical and mention-worthy landmark in the list, the Raja’s tomb is where the rulers of Kodava dynasty are buried. This is a quiet and peaceful spot and the architecture, Indo-Saracenic in style, is a brilliant thing to observe here.

8. Abbey Falls
Now comes the time of soaking yourself a bit. We visit the Abbey Falls, a beautiful and scenic spot in the midst of coffee plantations. Be sure to spend a few moments standing on the hanging bridge right before the falls and feeling the air.

9. Raja’s Seat
The day’s almost over and there’s no better way to end it than watching the sunset from a beautiful viewpoint in the hills. Raja’s Seat is the place to be before we start our on wards journey to Mysore.
